Could you explain the schematics and function of the chaos engine? I'd like to experiment with the design and possibilities of chaos vehicles.

    I make things with FIZIX.

@ Kimo: Sure, just send me a friends request Smile [:)]

As for the chaos engine, you basically have a block. Attach two tow bars on opposite sides (this is the basic way to do it) and then attach these tow bars to other tow bars. However, have a gap of 1-3 blocks between these tow bars. They will then initiate a tug of war over the block, creating movement. Here is a diagram:

    + . . . +@+ . . . +

    @ = block
    + = tow bar
    . = space

My mech with escape pod wich I made whilst over my friends house is completely different to yours, mine has a car as an escape pod that doubles up as its cockpit. It detaches from the top of the car and then your free to drive. yours is very good but it looks like we both took the term escape pod in different ways.

Re: SMSJ's Gallery of innovative designs

Well my initial inspiration was the Core Fighter idea of a modular fighter from Gundam....failing that and hitting the part limit hard, I opted to go this route. I like the idea of a car...I may try doing a similar rear or bottom facing drop pod with a car next time.

Wow, that's quite a mech. I see you use a different structure to my chicken-legged ones Smile [:)] While I'm here, I'd also like to announce: Banjo Prime!

Banjo and his Mech for scale comparison

Seems like Kazooie has been traded in for duel ground-to-air missiles

And I'm also working on a secret Mech that will revolutionise the forums (or at least the Mech world). A hint? Not this time Big Smile [:D]

Re: SMSJ's Gallery of innovative designs

Banjo Prime is awsome it is the best fighter /mech/replica/mechanical backpack vehicle I've ever seen. But now that I think of it I haven't seen that many. Anyway it is still a brilliant mech. Savge Oxygen the only thing with having a car as an escape vehicle is that if you want a cool looking car you have to sacrifice the look of your mech but I did manage to make it look cool anyway somehow.

Re: SMSJ's Gallery of innovative designs

That was the problem I had with my original concept, it was just too large to incorporate all of the things I wanted.

My next idea is one that uses the car/plane/pod as the entirety of the body, using detachers to connect arms, legs, etc. I'm just worried it'll look too much like a car with legs attached like you said.

Also: Awesome work on the Banjo Prime, does the front plate fold down at all to revel a weapons payload or the cockpit?

Re: SMSJ's Gallery of innovative designs

Yeah what I did was have an opening at the bottom and cover the top and back in panels then I covered the parts of the front that looked to car like with panels this worked rather well. It also allowed both legs to remain attached together and stand upright once you are detached.

I know you said no hints on your new mech but what about it's functions that make it unique if you don't want to tell everyone will you send me a private message because I helped you make your "Specialist Assault-X" Gunship. I'll keep it completely under raps.

Sorry Lord, it would probably makes others feel left out, and what makes it tick is a very closely guarded secret. It's still in it's first stages anyway so there's not much to report anyway Smile [:)]

Fair enough good luck making it and now you have made me even more anxious about it, I hope it works well for you.
