Re: OMG, BKNaB Demo is out!
This demo is just.. Great! Getting to the top of LOG's "mansion", getting to hear a rhino say "Assaulting a rhino, that's your plan?" and finally being able to use the editor and play i Banjoland.. Rare, you've outdone yourselves! This game is just perfect! Great controls, fantastic humor, amazing visuals and don't even get me started on the musical score! It's just perfect! Can't wait til Novemer 14.
If there's one thing that's not so perfect, it would be the 3-blueprint save limit. But then again, what other demo lets you save anything at all?

Re: OMG, BKNaB Demo is out!
OSM1017:I'll take back my harsh words and just say the only problems this demo suffers from is the abysmal vehicle controls. I simply cannot stand using them because of how bad they handle no matter how simple or dynamic I build them. Using the trigger buttons is VERY annoying. I was hoping the vehicles would be simple like the van transformation in Banjo-Tooie.
Applying physics is great for a game, but not when you clip it to the controls themselves. Ugh.
I like exploring Showdown Town though, I'm finding lots of cool stuff.
I personally have not played the demo yet but I would think the trigger buttons would be perfect for driving. In a game that relies heavily on vehicles, the player needs to be able to control their vehicle down to the gear...the trigger button allows for exact acceleration where as using the "A" button, you would have two speeds...stopped and go... I could not stand the driving in GTA4 because of how brutal it was on the player because of the physics, but after a day of playing, I would not have it any other way. I played San Andreas last week and laughed at how awful the simple control of the cars were. I think this game will be the same. Gotta get past the learning curve...

This game is awesome. Seriously, everything about it is quality. My only problem was the tank controls and the small text on an SDTV, other than that gosh I cannot wait.
Paid off and desperately waiting.

Re: OMG, BKNaB Demo is out!
The demo is decent, better than I expected in fact, but now that I've finally played it I can officially say that I HATE the whole vehicle aspect of the game, I just cannot seem to control the bloody things! I had the most fun when I just left the vehicle and went on-foot, to be honest.
But what really did impress me in the game were the graphics, they're just wonderful. Showdown town was brilliantly designed, I loved just wandering around that place admiring the scenery Banjo Land was cool too but I got a bit bored after a while. Oh and Multiplayer sucked, I kept getting destroyed and it was all kinda tedious. (I played the one on water FYI)

Re: OMG, BKNaB Demo is out!
Well it seems the online is very limited but still fun, you can party up with random people then go join other matches with them. The single player is fun, you start out in Showdown town. You watch a short cut-scene, then they give you a quick tourtourial about crates that cotain parts and whatnot. They also give you a tourtourial on how to build vehicles. Atfer all those tourtourials you can travel around Showdown town with your trusty Trolly, along the way you find several crates for parts and of course lots of notes. When you choose to meet up with L.O.G. on the high point of Showdown town, and do that thing with the orb in the splint, you unlock Banjo Land. There's a total of 4 Jiggies you can get here along with 200 notes. There a lot of familar areas from the other Banjo games. They even include the music for that area. You can only save up to three vehicles. After getting all 4 jigges, a new door opens. When you enter it, you see a short trailer of gameplay from the full game. Then it quits you out of the demo. When you quit out the demo you must restart from the beginning, but your vehicles will stay saved. However if you use a part from a crate on one of your saved vehicles, you must find that crate again to use that vehicle. Overall i like the demo, and i am looking forward to the game.
