BUILDING GUIDE FOR GRUNTYS
"The place to be for all things Vehicle:)"
The goal of this thread is to aid all in vehicular construction. There are already dozens of vehicles that can be built in N&B and the list is always expanding, so expect plenty of updates.
NEWS: Whats going on in GAFA, ABGOCS, and the Guide for Gruntys???
1/22: The Vehicle Bazzar is now open, come and trade some vehicles
1/19/10: ABGOCS Fallout Contest is now accepting entries. Come and compete for a new sig and one of my Fallout 3 Robots
1/13/10: Gafa has begun a new project.... Tutorial videos
They can be any vehicle type you want, like cars, boats, turrets, or maybe even a vehicle thats not yet in the guide. And the best part, all videos will be placed with their corresponding vehicle guide. They can be made by anyone in Gafa, so lets see some tutorials![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
1/12/10: The Parts list has been finished(finally) If you noticed any parts i missed, just post away. Some vehicle sections have also been revised. I now support the pin.
1/10/10: The Guide's slogan has been founded "The place to be for all things Vehicle!"
1/6/10: I have begun to add a little more detail in the guides. Expect to see updates to older vehicles and a complete parts list with an explanation for each(ugh, this may take a while
)
1/6/10: Poll has been added. Do you enjoy this guide? Should it be pinned alongside GAFA? Its up to you!
Do you like this guide? Should it be pinned alongside GAFA?
Its up to YOU!
Excellent guide, this should definitly be pinned alongside GAFA. (75%)
Excellent guide, but its not that good to be pinned just yet. (15%)
Guide needs a little work, then we can consider a pin. (10%)
TIP OF THE DAY: Tips to make the most out of your vehicles. Post if you have any tips of your own. Older tips shall be removed to make room for newer tips![Yes [Y]](/emoticons/emotion-21.gif)
1/26: Did your vehicle fail in a challenge? Modify to make it better
1/25: Think twice about putting jets on some vehicles. They will go very fast, but on some vehicles you may crash out of control.
1/24: Spoilers keep all wheeled vehicles more stable, especially on bumpy surfaces.
1/23: Trying to make a sleek looking car? I heard that spoilers can make realistic looking hoods and windshields.
1/22: Even without power, propellors can still hover and keep small parts in the air, like arms attatched to tow bars.
1/21: Using item-launching vehicles(ex:Dump Trucks) can work well in jinjo hurling challenges if you are lacking enough space
1/20: Flying straight up in an airplane will slow you down, you must fly straight to slowly gain altitude
1/19: If your vehicle is light enough, sucknblows will literally lift your vehicle in the air
1/18: The fulgore's fist part readies up before ramming. If you ram your enemy at the right time, it will be very powerful
1/17: The more gyroscopes you have on your vehicle, the faster it will spin
1/16: Cictrus slick is preferred to be placed behind your vehicle, if you place it in front, you could run over it and slip yourself
1/15: Sticky balls can latch on to any item movable with the wrench. If you are carrying a certain item, make sure you don't grab anything else, it will slow you down
1/14: Use heavy body parts, sinkers, armor, and even an energy shield to make your vehicle very heavy.
1/13: In multiplayer your entire vehicle is treated as one part, so your parts will never break off. You will have a health meter instead.
1/12:When building walking mechs, try to add some support to the legs, like surrounding them with panels, to prevent them from losing place, thus collapsing and paralyzing the vehicle.
1/11: Be careful when using flamethrowers, the flames it spews can add damage to your fehicle if it is placed the wrong way.
1/10: There are some vehicle parts that cannot be used in multiplayer. If used the parts will be unresponsive. Look out for the X symbol when looking through your blueprints, that means it has illegal parts.
1/9: Passenger seats don't allow others to ride with you in multiplayer. Only egg or grenade turrets will allow this.
1/8: Holding down both the left And right triggers while in a rocket/ufo or helicoptor will allow you to hover
1/7: Some gadgets like the chameleon have affects that wear off after a while. You will have to wait for their power to recharge.
1/6: The EMP vehicle gadget not only disables enemy weapons, but yours as well. Make sure to take cover during the small period you don't have them.
1/5: During taxi missions make sure you have the proper size passenger chairs for your passengers. Some bulky characters like klungo or boggy will need a large chair.
1/4: The Stereo part plays nice classic banjo music, but don't let it distract you during challenges.
PARTS
Use these parts to form your vehicle.
Seats) If you dont have a driver seat, how do you expect to move your vehicle?
- Chair: a basic chair, used to pilot your vehicle
- Strong Chair: A chair with added defense. It will not break off as often
- Scuba Chair: a chair with oxygen tanks that allows you to breathe underwater
- Super Chair: A chair with both the features of the scuba and strong chairs
Passenger seats) These are used to carry your allies during taxi missions.
- Small: a basic passenger chair, carrys one small person
-Large: a larger chair, carrys 2 small people or one large person
Body) Body parts are the basic bulk of any vehicle.
- Cubes are... well cubes they are the basic building blocks for any vehicle. They can connect up to 6 parts
- Wedges are used for giving vehicles a nice curve. They can connect up to 4 parts
- Corners are smaller versions of wedges that give your vehicle..... corners. Can connect up to 3 parts
- Poles are thin and light, but a little weaker that the first three parts. Can connect up to 2 parts
- L-poles are the same as poles, but they are shaped like an L. Connect up to 2 parts
- T-poles are a combination of the last 2 poles, they are shaped like a T. Can connect up to 3 parts
-Panels are like cubes, except they are flat. Can connect up to 4 parts
- L-panels are panels shaped like an L. Can connect up to 4 parts
- T-panels are a combination of the last 2 panels, they are shaped like a T. They can connect up to 5 parts
- All body parts come in 3 categories. Light parts are very light, but weak. Heavy parts are heavy, but they have great defense. Super parts are very light and have great defense as well.
Power) In order to drive your vehicle, you will need an engine to power it.
- Small engine: the engine you start out with, My guess it propels your vehicle 30-45mph. They consume very little fuel and are about the size of a cube.
-Medium engine: An engine that is the size of 2 cubes. I would say they propel you 45-60 mph. They consume 2x as much fuel as the small engine. If you wish to get this part early in the game you could easily buy one from Humba, right after a little note scavenger hunt
-Large engine: These are about the size of 3 cubes(shaped like an L). These probably propel you 65-80 mph. These consume 2x as much fuel as a medium engine.
-Super engine: A super speedy and super light engine thats about the size of a cube. These babies propel your vehicle 85-105ish mph. These may give you a huge speed boost, but they consume a lot of fuel, its impossible to describe even here. Just make sure your packing a lot of fuel.
-Sail: These don't need fuel to power at all, they use wind to move. They are usually used for boats and galleons, but they will work on other vehicles. Without any other power sources, these will propel you 15-25 mph(at least thats what i have observed)
-Small jet: These fuel guzzling firebrands are just above the equivalent of the super engine. Prepare yourself with a lot of fuel before using these. They will most likely propel you so fast you will almost reach the maximum speed.
-Large jet: Thought small jets were fast? wait until you see these. These use even more fuel than the small jet and propel you even faster. You will nearly break the spedometer with this thing![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)
Fuel) Your engines and jets won't work without a source of fuel. Combine fuel sources for maximum maneuverability.
Small fuel: These provide a small amount of fuel for vehicles. They should provide enough fuel for at least 5-10 minutes with a small engine. They are the size of 1 cube. If you are using anything more powerful, you can expect a short ride.
Medium fuel: These provide enough fuel to power a medium engine for at least 5-10 minutes. Like the engine, it is 2 cubes long.
Large fuel: These 3 cube long parts contain enogh fuel to power a large engine for at least 5-10 minutes.
Super fuel: These super fuels are the size of only 1 cube and it provides A LOT of fuel. They can provide enough fuel for a super engine for at least 5-10 minutes. Using 2 or more super fuels can provide enough fuel for both jets to make them last a couple of minutes.
Wheels) If you are building land vehicles, you will need wheels.
-Regular wheels are smooth. They are to be used on flat terrain. They can go really fast on straightaways
- High grip wheels are to be used on rough terrain. Regular wheels cannot drive up steep terrain, but high grips can(this is N&B's talon trot
). These wheels move slightly slower than regular wheels.
-Monster wheels are large wheels. They have the same abilities as high grips, but they are 5x their size. They are to be used for giant vehicles
-Super wheels have properties of both regular and high grip wheels. they are also tough to break off your vehicle thanks to added defense
Protection) This section contains parts that can help protect your vehicles from damage.
-Bumpers help keep enemies like gruntbots away from you, they bump them away. They can also help in landing helicoptors or rockets, preventing damage.
-Armor adds great defense wherever it is placed, but it adds quite a bit of weight to the vehicle as well
-Energy shields add a shield that protects your vehicle, but it adds a ton of weight to it. The sheild wears off after multiple hits
Storage) Some missions require carrying items to certain locations.
Tray: A small storage tray. They can probably carry 2 small items or one big item. Beware of driving at high speeds, otherwise your items will fall out.
Box: A tray with taller edges. These will keep your items nice and safe even at high speeds. Just try to stay right-side up please.
Large Tray: A larger version of the tray. They can carry twice as much as a regular tray, but high speeds can still endanger the well being of the items.
Large box: A large tray with taller edges. All of your items will be safe from falling off. Bumpy rides might be enough to bounce your items out, so drive carefully.
Fly and Float) If you are building flying or aquatic vehicles, you will need some of the parts here.
Small propellors: These are needed to move your boat in the water, help your plane turn, and get helicoptors in the air. Adding a multiple of these parts can increase these abilities. They need an engine or jet to power.
Large propellors: Larger versions of the propellor, they can work twice as well as one small propellor. Don't forget your engine/jet!
Large folding propellors: These propellors can fold open and close with a press of the action button. These can be handy in building multi-task vehicles.
Wings: Wings are needed by planes so they can glide through the air. They must be adjacent to eachother to balance the plane.
Folding wings: These wings can fold open and close with a press of the action button. These can be handy in building multi-task vehicles.
Floaters: These are needed to make your boat float. The more you have on a vehicle, the more likely you will float.
Balloons: Once activated, balloons will give you a nice ride through the sky. They can also be used for practical things like flipping yourself upright or opening doors.
Air bags: These can be used to create hovercrafts. They don't travel well on land, but work well in water. They can also provide support for landing aerial vehicles.
Sinkers: Sinkers add a ton of weight wherever you place them. They can be used to balance vehicles. They can work well in creating submarines.
Gadgets) There is a lot of whacky machinery that can be used with your vehicles.
Spoiler: A spoiler can make any wheeled vehicle more stable when driving on rough terrain. They also slightly increase speed
Spotlight: These can add light in front of your vehicle so you can see where you are going.
Spring: These can allow you to jump with your vehicle. The more springs you have and the longer you hold down the action button, the higher you will jump.
Gyroscope: These can allow aerial vehicles to perform aerial tricks as long as the action button is held. They can also balance bikes so they wont fall.
Vaccum: These suck up small items you drive near and ejects them in your storage part. They need an engine to power.
Detatcher: With a press of the action button, detatchers can let go of parts connected to them. Ideal for staged rocket launches
Tow bars: These allow your main vehicle to latch onto secondary parts of the vehicle. When used i a certain way they can lag your game a little bit, which is why they are banned in multiplayer.
Replenisher: One of my faves, If your fuel and ammo is running low, these will automatically replenish them slowly for you. Infinite fuel and ammo= never ending fun![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)
Robo-Fix: A robotic mumbo can repair any damaged parts in the area it is placed. Its a little noisy though
Chameleon: This device can give your vehicle a cloak for a limited time, but when it disappears, it will need to charge before another use
Spec-o-spy: A special part that takes a look at the entire area through the eyes of a robotic Bottles head. Its pretty hard to control, but its good for spying on your enemies.
Suck n blow: These parts are like miniature vaccumms. With these you can suck in items and launch them out. the only downfall is that they take up two action button slots.
Liquid Squirter: These fire water at stuff. Once you run out of water, simply enter a body of water to refill.
Aerial: More of an accessory than a gadget, it wobbles around as you drive. In a multiplayer game, you can listen in on your opponents.
Stereo: Again, more of an accessory than a gadget, these can play classic banjo music with a press of the action button.
Smokescreen: A part that once activated, leaves a trail of smoke in your tracks. it will need to rechare after use.
Sticky ball: A ball on a chain that can latch onto items. Its an alternate way to carry items, but it only carrys a few items though, plus it will slow down your vehicle.
Self-Destruct: Once activated a timer will start. once it stops, KABOOOM goes your vehicle.
Weapons) Got a group of Gruntbots on your tail? Get rid of them with weapons.
Spike: A really pointy weapon, good for ramming enemies
Fulgore's Fist: Another good ramming weapon, this weapon really packs a punch(hahahaha get it..........ROfl)
Boot in a box: This weapon is like a jack in the box, except it kicks things. Anger issues jack?
Egg gun: A projectile weapon that fires eggs. They fire at a pretty fast rate and they don't use a lot of ammo. They are also very lightweight
Grenade gun: This gun fires explosive grenade eggs. They are stronger than the regular eggs, yet they use up more ammo. The gun itself is a little heavier than the egg gun
Laszer: A lethal laszer weapon that causes a lot of damage. It uses up ammo pretty quick, so make sure your packing replenishers. It is heavier than the grenade gun
Cictrus slick: This releases an orange that makes the road slippery. If an enemy or another player drives over it, they will have trouble driving
Freezeasy: A fridge weapon that releases icy projectiles. If hit, the victim will be froven temporarily
Egg Turret: A turret that can fire eggs. Another player can take control of the turret and help defend your vehicle.
Grenade Turret: A turret that fires grenade eggs. Just like the egg turret except for the grenades
EMP: This weapon creates an electrical blast that paralyzes all action buttons, including yours. Take cover until your weapons come back
Torpedile: This weapon fires very powerful and explosive torpedos. They can use up a lot of ammo, so lets hope you be packing lots of ammo
Clockwork Kazooies: These nests fire explosives automatically that home in on the nearest vehicle.
Ammo) Ammo is needed to power your projectile weapons on your vehicles.
-Small ammo will probably provide enough ammo for an egg or grenade gun for a minute or two. It is the size of a cube.
- Medium ammo will provide enough ammo for a flamethrower to burn for at least a minute. It is the size of 2 cubes
-Large ammo will provide enough ammo for a lazer for maybe 50 secs or more? It is shaped like 3 cubes
-Super ammo can provide enough ammo for all the weapons above for maybe a minute. It is shaped like a cube.
-Ammo can run low fast, so use replenishers to keep the fun going
Accessories) These special parts have no affect on your vehicle, it just makes it look pretty
.
Goldfish: A stopnswop exclusive, its Roysten, banjo's pet goldfish in his bowl. Give banjo an old friend to give him support in challenges. One cool note about roysten is that you can change his color with the paint shop(Silver roysten=robo fishy
)
Mole on a pole: Similar to the spec o spy, this stopnswop exclusive depicts bottle's wife, Mrs. Bottles. Its just a bobble head, wobble wobble wobble
Flag: A union jack flag exclusive to stopnswop, it waves with the wind as you speed in your vehicles
Disco ball: This stopnswop exclusive really spins, add lights for extra sparkles![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)
Siren: A police siren with real lights and sounds. With this you can uphold order in any multiplayer game(but what if you run into someone else with a siren? well, never mind) Stopnswop exclusive
Googly eyes: A stopnswop exclusive that adds life to your vehicle, good with realistic replicas
Fuzzy dice: Stopnswop brings back a classic car accessory, fuzzy dice. Show off your daring side with these
Mr.Pants: A small figurine of Mr. Pants to place in front of your vehicle. For the ultimate Pants fans
Tag plate: a liscence plate saying BANJO1. Can't customize them, sorry
Headlights: smaller lights for your vehicle. Well worth the replacement over the spotlight, no action button=)
Flower pot: a flower in a pot, show your love for gardening(seriously, anyone even like gardening??)
Windscreen: A window-like part for your vehicle. When you drive past your friend you can look out of it and say hello
(not rylly)
Mirror: A mirror for your vehicle. You can drive and look at your pretty bear mug all day
Banjo frog: sorry if i forgot the name of this but its basically the frog banjo seen in the beginning of the game. Love amphibians? then this is the part for you
Horn: A horn thats loud, just like kazooie. Use it to distract your enemies
Now on to the vehicles. This list will increase in size as Time passes. If you have any suggestions please post them here.
CARS
by Wert Ac
Your basic 4-wheeled motorized vehicle, cars are by far the most balanced vehicles in the game.
-They need at least 4 evenly spaced wheels(i prefer going by a 4x4 grid)
- Connect the wheels with cube parts
- Engines, fuel, ammo, chairs, and other parts on top of the cubes should be evenly distributed to balance the vehicle
- Remember that regular wheels cannot travel up high slopes, use high-grip or super wheels to solve this
BOATS/GALLEONS/SHIPS
by WWWDOTCOMZZ
All types of boats can travel smoothly through the oceans of N&B.
- Use body parts to build the basic shape of the boat, make sure you give the craft a nice curve, which will increase the boat's speed.
- Add floaters to the bottom of the boat, replacing body parts doing so. This will make the boat float
- Add a propellor(s) to the rear of the boat. this will help the boat move through the water. These will not work without a source of power.
- Remember to evenly distribute fuel, engines, ammo, and chairs along the inner body of the boat.
-If you are building a Galleon, replace the propellors engines and fuel with a sail(s). They power without fuel or engines.
If your boat is too heavy and starts to sink, either lighten your load on the boat or add more floaters
AIRPLANES
by The Hell Raider
Have you ever wanted to soar through the skies like a bird? Well with N&B you finally can(sort of).
- Construct the main body of the vehicle with body parts.
- All planes require at least 2 wings. They allow the vehicle to glide through the air
-Place a propellor(s) at the front of the plane. They will allow the plane to turn affectivly in the air without engine failure(remember, they need engines to power them)
- Add wheels below the wings and the rear of the plane. They will aid in taking off and landing the plane.
- Evenly distribute ammo, fuel, engines, and chairs to balance the vehicle
-If the plane is going too slow and won't fly, either lighten your load or add more power.
BIKES/TRIKES/MOTORCYCLES

both by David Anttilla
Bikes are pretty self-explanatory if you ask me. They have the same requirements as cars except they only need two wheels(unless you want to build a trike, which has 3).
- You want your weight balanced Left and Right.
- Make sure it is fitted with gyroscope to make sure you land up right.
-Make sure to have the weight as low as possible.
Tips by David Anttilla
- Also remember that if your wheels are too close to eachother, the vehicle will not turn very well, you might spin out of control
HELICOPTORS
by WWWDOTCOMZZ
Yet another way to enjoy the skies, Helicoptors use propellers to ascend and descend in the air.
-You will need at least one propeller facing upward
- Make sure the helicoptor body is light so the propeller(s) can lift the vehicle.
-If the body is too heavy, add more propellers or make the body lighter
-Remember, propellers need engines to power them.
CARRIER VEHICLES
by David Anttilla
Using the storage parts you can create vehicles that can carry items around.
-Any vehicle can have a storage part, but they must not travel too fast to prevent the items from falling out
- Aerial vehicles must not perform aerial tricks if they have any storage parts with items
-Boxes provide more support for the items, but they can still fall out, so be careful
ROTATING AA TURRETS
by CR3AM SODAH
An amazing vehicle first built by CR3AM SODAH. With these vehicles, you can blast the skies of all of your aerial enemies. It is really just for show since it cannot be used in multiplayer, but they are fun to use none the less. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IG5kyFIp6Ew Follow this link for more information on how to build a basic AA turret, the detailed instructional video will explain everything.
WALKING MECHS
by BroPrincess
Probably the most difficult vehicles to create so far, These mechanical marvels really walk using the power of tow bars. This mech by BroPrincess shows just how difficult it looks. If you follow this link http://forums.banjo-kazooie.com/forums/thread/81066.aspx you can learn how to make one. this link will show you an example as well as how to control it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dxfYgwNccU
WING FLAPPING AIRCRAFT
by WWWDOTCOMZZ
Show your avian spirit with Wing Flapping vehicles(AKA, mechanical birds). Look closley at my replica of Canary Mary, notice the propellers underneath the wings? Well that is what makes these babies fly. Obvously you will need tow bars connecting the wings to the main body of the vehicle, then place folding propellors underneath the wings. Then just put an engine and fuel on each wing and thats it. You will need to activate the folding propellers before your vehicle spawns, otherwise they will not transform. Alternate with the left and right triggers and enjoy your flight.
Replicas
by Danceswithh0gs
There aren't many things better than bringing out a replica of something from your favourite movie or video game. These can be hard to make but the reward is well worth it. There are many techniques to making them but the just of it is to first find a picture or figurine to use as reference and then using the different shapes available, construct the vehicle to look like what you are trying to make. It will most likely turn out very big so you might run into the dreaded part limit. Here is a detailed guide on ways to get around it http://forums.banjo-kazooie.com/forums/1/66700/ShowThread.aspx
HALO SERIES VEHICLES
by WWWDOTCOMZZ
Technically this should be in the Replicas section but Halo is awesome, so it deserves its own section. They could be characters, weapons, and vehicles from all games in the series. This one is the Gravity Throne the Prophet of Regret rides in Halo Wars. Once upgraded, the chair could completly fly and fire fuel rod rounds. My original model had two clockwork kazooies as the sentinals that protect him, but i found the torpediles to be a more devastating force, plus when testing him they fired at mostly anything.
RC VEHICLES
by Crockeo
A vehicle glitch discovered by Wert Ac and DeN sLaT x and just recently renewed by Crockeo, remote-controlled(RC) vehicles can power without a driver seat. For info on how to make one, follow this link http://forums.banjo-kazooie.com/forums/91076/ShowThread.aspx#91076. Wert will also be working on a tutorial for RC vehicles, once it is available, you will be able to access it here.
ROCKETS/UFOS
by theDGs
Blast off with rockets and UFOs.
-They use jets to gain altitude, so provide plenty of fuel
- Have the tip of the jets pointing upwards so it will push you up.
- Keep ammo, chairs, fuel and engines/jets safe from damage
- Use light parts to allow the rocket/ufo to launch faster
- Tow bars and detatchers can be used to create a realistic rocket launch with detatching parts as it gets higher.
SUBMARINES
by David Anttilla
Submarines are special crafts that can travel underwater. Playing in a banjo boaty brawl? These can be devastating in this challenge. They are pretty hard to make, but hopefully these tips by David Anttilla shall enlighten all of your sub based questions.Notice when constructing a submarine do not use a pointed bow like real life boats have it will cause the sub to float regardless of the floaters. Use floaters for surfacing and diving effects, Use jets or propellers and make sure you have fuel, A curved front, and Folding wings for maximum maneuverability.
DOOR-OPENING VEHICLES
by David Anttilla
Want to add a little more detail to your vehicles? Doors are a great way to do so. But how do you open them?A method for upward door opening vehicles is by using balloons. Have the door connected with tow bars and put the balloons on top of the door. Turn them on and the door shall open. but for this method in the pic, David Anttilla shall enlighten us yet again. When constructing your vehicle build the door or in thing case doors first for function testing!! Have the tow bars on the doors facing front. And the tow bars on the vehicle facing the sides. Use curved parts for the top and bottom. And the the detacher's at the opposite end making sure only the detacher is linking the doors on.

TANKS
by The Hell Raider
March into the heat of battle with tanks.
- Tanks are usually heavily armored, so use heavy parts and armor for the main body.
- Provide plenty of ammo(and possibly replenishers) to keep the main cannon(s) in check.
- all fuel , engines/jets, ammo, and seats should be safely protected under the tank's armor.
- 4-8 high grip wheels are usually good for the tank's mobility.
-If you want a rotating turret, look at the guidelines in the rotating turret guide.
INTERNAL MOVEMENT MECHANISM VEHICLES
Not a common type of contraption found or made, but is very useful if trying to make an elevator or an opening disk drive. To start, you should begin by making your pice that shall be moving. Build it with conciderable width and height. You will need to attach the seat on the inside or on the moving piece. For the moving piece, put a balaced number of wheels on it with the wheel part facing outside. Change the wheel settings to "Accelerate only" so they don't turn on you. Add engines and fuel, but not too fast of an engine, otherwise the movements will be unrealistic compared to the real contraption. After your basic movement piece has been made, create an outer chassis piece to surround the moving piece. Place tow bars at specific destinations (Floors on the chassis for elevators; The back, inner-part of the chassis for disk drives; ect.)to still the vehicle's movement at the destination you wish for it to stop. After setting the number of stop destinations and setting them, you can go on to weight distribution. For elevators, all you will really need is to make sure you make the base of the tower chassis wide and flat, to even out the balance. For a disk, however, you will need to do trial-by-error with putting heavy weight pieces on the back part of the moving piece that is inside the chassis. Do this untill you move the vehicle with ease without it tipping foward or backwards and spiking wildly out of control. After you've finished these steps, you should go back and check on a few things. You should make sure that nothing but the moving pieces are attached to the wheels. Check to make sure that the tow bars hold the moving piece in place. Try to balance your speed: Make sure it actually makes logical sense how fast the moving piece moves. Put stops and blockers to make sure nothing flies off or out of the base chassis piece. Also, check to make sure your chassis covers all necesary parts without hitting the part limit. After you finish fine tuning your vehicles performance to its optimal level, give it a radio. Every elevator needs elevator music! As for the disk drive, it should work like a radio or a CD player. Make a CD out of pannels and L-Poles, put it in the open disk tray, close it, attach to tow bar, and play. You're gonna want to put the radio on the chassis so when the moving piece attaches, you can play the music, just like a real CD player! It WILL take you more than one try to perfect this (Unless you're BroPrincess...). I just takes lots of patience, and lots of trial-by-error.
MORE FUN WITH ROTATING TURRETS
by knife in a box
Rotating turrets can not only be seen on the ground, they can be brought to the skies or the seas(with the right parts). Click this link to see Knifey's Gunship with a rotating turret http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3MfTxfxMGY
HOVERING VEHICLES
By SMSJ
- Take some Jets (usually small) pointing upwards to give you an upwards thrust
- Take some more Jets pointing forward to provide you with forward power
- The important part is balancing out the weight. You need to add enough weight to the vehicle, but enough upward motion to make it lift up only slightly. Using heavy parts and/or sinkers is key here, but it is crucial that the balance is right. An unpowered propeller may help if things get too heavy.
- This will give you a vehicle that hovers only slightly above the ground. There are some faults though, such as when the vehicle knocks into a rock it may crash or fly higher than normal.
As you can see with the Hammerhead, it is hovering just above the ground (with some bumps here and there depending on the terrain). Note the large jets providing the forward thrust. Unseen here though are the small jets pointing down and the sinkers used to balance it out (there is also a shield generator, this is also a heavy piece).
MINI-GARAGES
By KazPluto
Basically, a vehicle, inside a larger vehicle. Garages should be very heavy and not move(unless you want to be that person to make a traveling garage
)[Use heavy body parts and sinkers!] The smaller vehicle inside should be attached to detatchers, so when once activated, you can drive/fly out of the garage. Garages can even have opening and closing doors(look at the doors guide above) that can protect the inside vehicle from damage. If you have land vehicles inside, use that door as a ramp as shown above to allow the vehicle to safely drive out.
THE ULTIMATE GALLERY: Post any Vehicle galleries here. If they are too big for this thread, i shall provide a link to them. Please prevent yourself from posting in older galleries, due to the fact that posting on older threads is considered spamming.

I have finished constructing the Fallout Robots
1)Protectron

The easiest of the three robots, the Protectrons used lazers from their arms, so i allowed their arms to move freely with moving the right stick. It can also fly due to its lack of mobility in it's legs.
2) Robobrain

The second hardest, the Robobrain was a little more difficult with the arms, but i found the right support for them. They fire lazers, much like the Robobrains did in the game, as well as move with the right stick. it can really drive too
3) Mr. Gutsy

Obviously the hardest of the robots, this annoying robot(my opinion) floats(rockets) and has 3 legs. They also had weapons on each of their 3 legs, so i added a flamethrower, lazer, and torpedile. The folding propellors allowed the legs to stay up while in the air. My and probably your fave

The Vehicle Bazzar
Here we shall trade vehicles. Sounds basic right? Just post a vehicle you want to trade and ask what you want for it. If anyone comes up with something you like, you trade. Don't forget to post GTs
